Kojo Boateng is an award-winning British designer and educator based in Washington DC. He is currently Creative Director at PBS News Hour and was formerly Design Director at ITN and ITV News in the UK. He has also worked with Capital One, Complex Media, NPG Group, BBC, ITV and Universal Music.
Kojo is an adjunct professor at NYU Tandon school of Engineering and also serves as a mentor for the Connect 4 success mentoring program at Mercy college in New York. He also is also founder of CRE8 Community and 5 Points, two creative initiatives that elevate the work of Black designers and people from underserved communities.
He has contributed to numerous awards including BAFTA: Best News Coverage 2014, The Murder of Lee Rigby, RTS Best News program 2005-2009. Promax/BDA Europe Award for Virtual Set Design, His work has been featured in the Design Week, Creative Review, The Guardian, The Times and The Telegraph. His work for ITV News is featured in the book ‘Color Works’ authored by Eddie Opara and published by Rockport.
