Kojo Boateng is an award-winning multidisciplinary designer and creative director from London, now living and working Washington DC. His clients include design agency Complex Media,VPAR Golf, Human After All, NPG Group, BBC, ITV and Universal Music.
Kojo studied Graphic Design at the London College of Printing and Middlesex University where he received an MA in Video Production. He began his career working in the television and music industry before joining news and multimedia media company ITN, where he worked as Motion Designer creating graphics for Channel 4 and Channel 5 News. He became Design Director of ITV News in 2008 and oversaw the relaunch News at Ten During his time at ITN he led a team that pioneered the use of 3D and VR, most notably for the 201o UK General Election.
Boateng has contributed to numerous awards in Promax/BDA Europe Award for Virtual Set Design, BAFTA: Best News Coverage 2014, The Murder of Lee Rigby, RTS Best News programme 2005-2009. His work has been featured in the Design Week, Creative Review, The Guardian, The Times and The Telegraph.
His work for ITV News is featured in the book ‘Color Works’ authored by Eddie Opara and published by Rockport.
