For ten days every year, a curated group of artists from around the globe travel to Washington, DC to paint larger-than-life murals at our annual celebration of art and creativity, the international mural festival called DC Walls (Formerly Pow! Wow! DC).
I was commissioned by the artist and festival director Kelly Towles to create marketing material for the festival. Using the existing logo as a start, I was inspired by the drops and bubbles often associated with live painting. I developed this concept in a camouflage texture and used in the creation of t-shirts, bags, badges and flyers. I also redesigned the festival website, providing clear direction about the festival and where people could find the walls.
